Mosquito Foggers, And How To Use Them.

With the threat of mosquito born diseases like West Nile virus, dengue, and malaria, it is essential that you keep your self and your loved ones protected.  There are several options to rid your area of mosquitoes and avoid being bitten. Aside from applying repellent, using traps, plants and candles that repel mosquitoes, or using netting to keep the mosquitoes away, you can also use a mosquito fogger around your home.  

First thing is to pick your way of killing insects.
Mosquito foggers comes in many shapes and sizes and what model to pick is all about the amount of mosquitoes in your area. The amount of bugs should decide the proper size for your needs. Your surroundings also comes into play. If you have a fountain or water area and using larva mosquito dunks still keep you noticing mosquitoes around, then you may want to use a mosquito fogger to eliminate those flying insects in your patio. Should you happen to live close to a stream or a lake, the "dunk-option" may not be sufficient. In that case, a fogger may be your last resort.

Using a mosquito fogger will probably not only kill on contact those pesky mosquitoes, but also other flies, spiders, and gnats that can become a nuisance to your property. You might need to use a mosquito fogger indoors or outdoor areas so start selecting from the range of mosquito fogger machines available. There are both portable gas foggers as well as electrical models. If you only need to fog a single room, there are fog cans that can be set of in room before exiting. 

There are many different models of mosquito foggers on the market.

Prior to using the fogger, remove all pets and children as well as food or other snacks. The fogger will contaminate the area for at least 3-4 hours, and during that period of time you should not enter. Use the mosquito fogger at times when the insects are active, such as early evening or early morning. Remember to repeat the process regularly.

Although mosquito foggers are often used to manage insects in backyards, gardens and patios, foggers can also be used indoors, making them convenient as ever in spraying much larger areas than ordinary insect sprays do. Wherever a mosquito lurks, it surely will find it. 

Please note that mosquito foggers contain toxins that could cause allergic reactions. Another downside is the possible impact on the environment as it not only kills "bad bugs" but also friendly ones like butterflies and ladybugs.

A mosquito fogger sends out the toxic in a fine mist, a light breeze could easily blow the toxic away from the intended area of treatment. Bugs that survive the attack will also come back stronger.

Given the downsides, at least for now you will be able to have a clear area, free of flying and biting insects.
